We shouldn't be 100% cheering Chansiri on whilst he hangs on for compo

Every time we get in these situations everyone gets all hung up on getting some money into the club for a departing manager/player

In the the meantime the club goes stagnant, inactivity stifles progress, we end up behind the curve for the next season and the money we get is irrelevant anyway as it just disappears into a huge black hole

IMO any fan cheering Chansiri on whilst he tries to get a few million quid are fools

 

The money will make zero difference to us in any way whatsoever

It won't improve our circumstances one bit

It wont' improve the facilities

It won't bring in better players
It wont' bring a better manager in

And in the meantime our club will have stalled just for the sake of a few million quid

Anyone cheering THAT on is a mug.

To be fair, I'd cheer anyone on if they go up against Chancer.

Any money the club brings in will just be thrown into the bottomless pit of Chansiri's incompetence.   Best case scenario is it allows the club to lurch on like a zombie for another couple of months.

Cheering Chansiri on to some kind of moral victory for getting cash for Röhl is a mugs game - anyone doing that is a fool

It won't affect anything positively at all for fans

Same as when fans cheered Chansiri on for the Bruce money and making out it was a huge victory. In the meantime we got Garry Monk, didn't pay the players, got a points deduction and got RELEGATED

Even now we still get our fans crowing proudly how Chansiri got millions in compo for Bruce and 'won' whilst we stopped paying players and got relegated - MUGS

You are right but we should be trying to get what money we can it’s daft not too.

 

But regardless plans should already be in place for next season and processes started well before now.

It's probably the only chance we have of paying the bills over the summer and avoiding a 3 window embargo.

 

That's asssuming that the £780 phase 4/5/whatever it is now season tickets aren't exactly selling like hot cakes!  Then there's the small matter of actually signing some new players in the summer, even the free transfer dregs that we'll be sifting through are going to demand signing on fees.

Normally I'd agree but I don't think DC will put the money back into the club...I think he'd rather have us in Div One under the radar where he has less scrutiny

Exactly this. The only planning he does is to get past each deadline so we don't have to sign anyone and contracts expire and we fall even further behind every other club in the league. The guy is a complete and utter idiot and as said many times before anyone still singing his praises are just as stupid. He was very lucky to have DR last season and his ability to get us to where we finished with zero support has masked the incompetences of the fool at the top. Next season will be a disaster and unless he sells immediately we will fall through the leagues yet again.

 

Prediction- Blunts will win the play offs and be in the prem next season....  we will struggle and probably be relegated taking us back to where we were 3-4 years ago. All while other clubs progress.

This is a very real worry. Good point.

The only positive thing is inserting a compensation clause. The way it has/is being managed is poor. 

 

Nobody likes it when an employee wants to leave, but when they do, you can't bury your head in the sand and not act. 

 

Let's face it, while Chansiri is here whatever compensation is paid, will be wasted anyway. Nothing changes until the owner leaves, not the manager.

Already accepted that that's unlikely to happen! Certainly not imminently, he'll get us much lower down the leagues before he gets rid.
