Fuzzy logics Posted April 25 Posted April 25 I'll wait for the inevitable synopsis from the happy clappers and bedwetters. Then decide I'm somewhere in the middle. Thanks. 1 1

The panel requested written responses to unanswered questions within 14 days, but the club stated no written answers would be provided. Sale of the Club: Chairman Dejphon Chansiri (DC) has no current intention to sell the club but is open to offers from the "right" buyer with sustainable plans. No formal offers with proof of funds have been received recently, despite financial difficulties presenting an opportunity for potential buyers. Future Plans and Direction: DC acknowledged challenges in making the club sustainable, citing rising costs and limited revenue growth. Investment in academy facilities is underway, including state-of-the-art infrastructure. DC expressed openness to fan suggestions for improving sustainability but emphasized the difficulty of running a profitable football club. Finances: Recent payment delays were attributed to cashflow issues caused by unpaid debts owed to DC's businesses. The £2.5 million rent to Sheffield 3 was offset against a loan, keeping cash within the club. The club is compliant with EFL financial regulations but will not release detailed financial documents publicly. Governance: DC defended the current governance structure, stating he has advisors and consultants but does not see the need for a formal board of directors. The club will comply with the Independent Football Regulator's requirements for fan engagement but did not commit to appointing a fan representative to the board. Community Contributions: Fan groups were praised for their community initiatives, which the club values alongside financial contributions. Stadium and Facilities: Renovations are ongoing, including improvements to the pitch, irrigation systems, and academy facilities. Safety concerns regarding the North Stand roof were addressed, with DC assuring fans that safety is a priority. Communication and Trust: DC expressed disappointment over the panel releasing a statement before the meeting, emphasizing the need for trust and professionalism on both sides. The panel and club agreed to move forward collaboratively. Next Steps: The next meeting is scheduled for June, with hopes for continued engagement and representation from all groups. 11

Morepork Posted April 25 Posted April 25 They may well be the main points but as ever there is little substance. The bottom line is that barring regulator intervention when it’s established the club will continue to lurch from crisis to crisis largely because DC can just about cling on while ever a large portion of fans pay to go. That’s not a dig, it’s just the grim reality. 1 2
SF Owl Posted April 25 Posted April 25 5 minutes ago, @owlstalk said: Released tonight to try and nullify the protest Yep. Let's be under no illusions that this is a battle of wills. Those minutes paint the picture of an owner doing the bare minimum to fulfill his obligations to "fan engagement" and saying as little as possible, while timing what little communication he has with the fans to undermine or dilute any fan mobilization. 5

Ol' GPT missed the bit in the minutes that said DC misunderstood the question and said fan groups don't give back until Alistair stepped in 1 1
