scram 22,637 Posted Monday at 21:18 Share Posted Monday at 21:18 And he immediately owns up to it Even though if his pit crew hadn't f*cked up his pit stop he'd have retained the lead and wouldn't have been in the position he found himself He didn't blame them for their poor display (althougb privately i've no doubt the Merc hierarchy were less than happy) - he got on with his job Dunno what's going on with Bottas - they will need to yank him out of that car if it carries on though

whatevertrevor 2,219 Posted yesterday at 06:51 Share Posted yesterday at 06:51 Yeah Toto has gone off at Russell. Didn't hold back. Can't agree with him that Russell should act differently when approaching a Mercedes though, he might be a Mercedes driver but he isn't racing for them and you need to protect the integrity of the sport.
Adem Poric 14,842 Posted yesterday at 10:04 Share Posted yesterday at 10:04 If anything he's going to race harder against Bottas as he wants his seat.
trev 4,195 Posted yesterday at 12:58 Share Posted yesterday at 12:58 The fact Russell was even attempting an overtake on a Mercedes says a lot. He needs that seat next season.

He struggled all weekend, qualified poorly and didn't look like he was going anywhere in that field for much of his race. Russell had every right to go for the overtake with all that considered. 2 NEW: SHEFFIELD GUIDE Website! I’m sure privately Toto would be pleased to see Russell being so competitive in a poor car....

The Williams is looking to have stepped up this season to be fair (admittedly not to works Mercedes standards though). I'd expect a couple of points finishes for them. HAAS on the other hand...
