  1. I think it's a really relevant point from ODA (gasp) to say it needs to be thought about in decades rather than season by season. I worked in women's football for a few years - not the top division but the next one down (can't remember what it was called then) - it was awash with international players though. But usually the "crowd" would be outnumbered by the staff of the 2 teams playing We could be seeing a paradigm shift I don't think the women's game will overtake the men's game but it is being seen much more as an alternative Women's football still needs to focus on community, inclusively, fun and accessibility. I strongly believe that changing from a summer to winter game has not helped and I still think that's part of the problem and not a solution
  2. Peter Reid Fashion icon All the trendies will be wearing those baggies after seeing this
  3. Impossible to say without actual facts My GUESS is that IF he hasn't been paid then there is likely contractual obligations not fulfilled which COULD make his contract and thus compensation null and void IF he has been paid according to schedule then he is probably walking a fine line because he will likely need his release clause to be paid to the level the club demands before he is released from this obligation. We don't know so can only speculate which while might be a way to pass the time is just peeing in the wind and adds nothing
  4. England goal makes fire an interesting last few minutes
  5. It means we have to win our next have for sure Been a poor performance after early promising signs - been schooled really I like the pundits - good analysis. Looking forward to the full time verdict
  6. Thought the disallowed goal was harsh. Bright start from England but France dominated since I think they've brought the play too far back for the 2nd goal but it was an obvious foul. But we haven't helped ourselves
  7. He doesn't But he has a wealth of experience. But for a player that relied so heavily on his pace he's going to find it tough
  8. Tough game for England to open in a generally tough group - Wales excepted Decent start from England - James looking like she's going to be pivotal
  9. As I said earlier we've had many strong younger teams over the years but it's not translated into senior success Some of the current u21 crop will go onto have full international careers Many won't It was ever thus But I do think Carsley has probably earned the chance with the senior team after Tuchel Especially after he'll have learned a lot after his stint with the seniors after Southgate He got the selection for the Greece home game badly wrong but he learned from it and adjusted immediately after I like him
  10. They didn't become slow But surprise surprise when you get to the really elite levels it gets much tougher to perform and shine Don't see what's controversial about that
  11. Could be a sliding doors moment that makes his career. Stranger things have happened
  12. Deffo check his hard drive And unsolved disappearances in the area...
  13. With a player that's been with us for 2 seasons as well...
