  1. Xisco going is the first bit of positive news since Wembley. There's an absolute mountain to climb to try and get this squad to work and get out of the relegation places. I'm not sure who can do it, but it needs to be someone who the players respect and has discipline.
  2. As a country we don't half do badly in football finals. Great effort, just not the result.
  3. What a save! That's a huge turning point. Make it count lionesses.
  4. Looking forward to this. Rightly, the Womens game is moving at a fast pace in the right direction - and England is front and centre of that growth. I'd have liked to see a bit more hype around this game at home, if it was the men's final supermarkets would have bunting, offers galore for beer and BBQ stuff and every advert would be football related. Oh, and Prince William and useless Sunak would've been the first to book a flight and go, regardless of location. Anyway... COME ON ENGLAND.
  5. As much as I think it's early to have a proper say on this season, I think all the signs are there to show pre-season was a disaster, and even though it's early days, there's clear failings in the way the team is being set up to play against opponents with much a higher calibre of player. The Championship clearly is a different beast to league one. The last Hull goal was a sign that playing it around the back and out from the back won't work, and we're only inviting pressure into ourselves. We did it constantly against Southampton too. The amount of space we're giving to our opponents is a huge concern. We've only just come up, and I'm getting a growing feeling that we're going straight back down. I think we need a a core of players with good championship experience to steady the squad and add some balance.
  6. I'm not really positive about the season ahead, regardless of the style of play, which wasn't brilliant, there's a huge void between us and tonight's opponents. It's not just Southampton that'll be tough, most of the league will be. Playing out from the back didn't work at all, and we didn't change it up until late in the game. Invited far too many problems on ourselves and we should've been aware that they'd punish us.
  7. I really any get to grips with this. Both parties thought best? Really?
  8. Those prices kill off any chance of a casual committing to a season ticket and get fans who have fell out of love the chance to fall back in. Sometimes we really do shoot ourselves in the foot.
  9. They need to go back on sale and for a good price.
  10. The positive is you'd never really get this posted from a Barnsley fan. Look at the disbelief.
  11. I'm not sure how any of them didn't get thumped. Can imagine it's annoying to sit next to that, especially if you were in the Barnsley end and they are enthusiastically commentating on a 123rd minute goal.
  12. I've seen a lot of weird comments saying that it was a fix and the EFL wanted us up. It's odd, if the EFL wanted us up we wouldn't be in the playoffs, we wouldn't have been in league one for a start and we certainly wouldn't have been out of the prem for this long. Anyway, these tears are delicious. We've had our fair share of playoff heartbreak, we can rightly enjoy this.
  13. Barnsley did pass the ball around a lot better than us for most of the game, so were better to watch for longer periods. We were a bit high and hopeful, and things didn't click. When we actually got the ball down we looked half threatening with some good attempts at goal, and the amount of chances shows that. Still doesn't matter. Winner takes all and we did.
  14. Sweet lord. We nicked that and made it hard for ourselves. Take that you ******** Dingles.
  15. Need to stay sharp to get to pens. How we've not seized this opportunity against 10 men and wasted 90 minutes will be criminal, whether we win on pens or not.
