  1. An even bigger test for Danny's motivational skills!!!
  2. Fully agree Costello,,, but tonight and next Saturday have to be the 2 strongest teams we are going to play against this season. I trust Danny 100% but these next 2 games are going to be VERY difficult,,,, but I still think we will do it!!! WAWAW
  3. I reckon it's a classic game of 2 halves,,, Danny will see how they go for the first 45 mins,,, or possibly earlier,,, and then adjust accordingly. With 10 games to go he can afford to be pragmatic,,,, 45 mins "rest" for Vaulks could work wonders next Saturday. Just my opinion!!!
  4. This time yesterday I despaired at being a Wednesdayite. 24 hours later the despair has been replaced by pride. What a great guy Eddy is. With all the BAD press we get as a club we have to use this latest c*ckup to publicise the fact that despite the rusting stadium and Very Suspect owner we the fans are not perhaps as bad as the media/press/& pigs make out. WAWAW
  5. I'd like to think after last nights performance it may even inspire them,,,,, blank yellow paper at future matches could and should be a regular reminder that we have not gone away.
  6. As it's winter lets hope we can get a snowball effect!!!
  7. The only way we can effectively protest is Don't Go!!! No income is the only way we can really demonstrate how we feel. There is NO OTHER WAY
  8. At some point in the future when we are happily cruising along with some form of stability I hope we will look back on these darkest of times in the clubs 157 years history with some form of amusement. Until then we will probably become the justified replacement for all the old Skoda or Ratner jokes!!! How embarassing is this???? We Were Wednesday Were'nt We !!! I sincerely hope not.
  9. Couldn't agree more. All he is interested in is money. Our only weapon is not giving him anymore till he either departs or try's running it in a professional way. Painful I know,,, but there are several current PL teams who dream about having our home and away support. Our future could be very bright,,, but not with the current owner,,, not a cat in hells chance.
  10. IMO we are definitely in a cycle of decay. What we are seeing now we have seen several times in recent years. Danny has worked wonders with a weak squad but without even medium term investment it is only a matter of time before even he decides "enough already,,, why should I worry about this crock of sh*te". And who can blame him. I am resigned to the fact that it will never change while Chansiri owns the club. Until we get a new owner I refuse to give SWFC another penny as it is the only real way of letting Chansiri know just how pee'd off I am. Will we survive,,, I don't know but in all honesty I'm getting to the point where unless we see some real change I don't really care!!! A very sorry state of affairs. And all down to one person who hasn't a clue how to run a successful football club.
  11. I see what you are saying but he looks much more positive than he did after the Watford game,,, he was obviously really down after the effort they put it and the football gods went against them. UNLUCKY,,, but thats football. I really fancy them against Hudds!!! Stating the obvious,,, but,,,If he can get this team to gell I reckon they will slowly climb to safety. WAWAW Keep the faith!!!
  12. Fully justified from what I'm reading tonight,,,, can't believe how we have come to this,,, pathetic +++ and talk about short sighted!!!
  13. And looking at some of the recent decisions to go to L1 some decent prospects have already come to the same conclusion!!!! This really is pretty pathetic,,, and the media will be all over it,,, yet again. Schtum is a word which springs to mind!!!
  14. With American owners Jesse Marsch has to be in with a chance,,, he'll blind them with some statistical science,,, just like he did at Weeds for 12 months,,,, but Cooper is a worry as he obviously knows how to stabilise a sinking ship. It might be blind optimism but I still feel confident that we aren't going to be worrying about who is in the drop zone for much longer. What Danny has achieved in 2 months is unbelievable and he hasn't recruited anybody to play his style of football yet!!!! I still don't really understand what is happening and have this strange feeling that before too long I will wake up to find we are still 9 points adrift and Munoz explaining yet another difficult situation which needs a new set of mice to unravel.
  15. In less than 2 months he's shown what he can do with players he inherited and he has shown he can improve most of the full squad. For me the most important thing is DR is already openly talking about some players are probably not suited to his style of football. What he may be able to achieve with players about to be recruited who are suited to his style and methods is very exciting . For anyone to suggest there is no progress since he took over is either a frustrated piggy or green with envy. FOR ME THE FUTURE IS LOOKING VERY BRIGHT. BUT WHY HAS IT TAKEN THIS LONG????? WE ALL KNOW THE ANSWER TO THAT.
  16. With the amount of money the PL has at the moment that is almost guarantee'd,,, the regulators will pay lip service to the lower leagues and troff the prawn sandwiches to their hearts content!!! The whole pyramid is a shambles,,,, unless you are in the PL
  17. If he has inspired the team as much as he has inspired the supporters we could be in for a real turn in our fortunes. The luck has been missing in the last 4 games but he still seems very confident that what he is doing is the right thing. If he pulls this off we are going to enter an even bigger problem which will be keeping him. So impressive for somebody in their early 30's,,,,,, why did he join us???? is still a mystery for me.
  18. 100% correct. I feel we have crossed a tipping point and for me that is a positive. All we can do is let nature take it's course,,,, he is not going to change,,, so we have to wait for established business economics to take their due course,,, and as he slithers down the slippery slope he will inevitably try and blame us for all his catastrophic decisions. 8+ years and he has learnt nothing!!!! Serves him right.
  19. A good watch,,, I love how he heads and kicks every ball,, nice to see. Saturday could be interesting. Let's hope and pray him and his team see it through,,,,, or is that going to be the next meltdown statement!!!!
  20. Well done Jim, The Cashflow Bail me out video is the best piece of reporting on our latest ridiculous situation I have seen or read,,, and that includes articles from the Guardian and The Times. Local knowledge and understanding from the fans is something DC could learn a lot from!! Is easy for me not to spend any money at Hillsborough as I Iive in Norfolk but I am convinced the only way he will learn is if nobody turns up, and he will realise he needs the fans/customers supporting him,,,, but obviously a very dangerous strategy. When will this chaos end,,,, it's a sporting Groundhog Day.
  21. I'm sure him or his "advisors" read Owlstalk and I really hope he finds the current fans unrest truly horrific because it is. For me I think we have reached a Tipping Point in all area's of activity,, he is never going to understand the fans and vice-versa and no matter what he try's in the future he already knows he's in some pretty deep trouble,, he also hopefully realises that not enough fans/customers are ever going to back him in the future with their hard earned cash as they have over the last 9 years. His assets are diminishing rapidly,,, while his costs continue to rise coupled to diminishing ticket sales,,,, it's the perfect BBC storm,,, add to that a really angry fanbase and maybe that explains why he is behaving like a rat in a trap. He complains we don't respect his culture,,,, look in the mirror Dejphon,,, you don't respect ours and we do not wilt to threats or blackmail. This is a situation your created yourself,,,, there is only 1 person responsible for this manure festival and it isn't the fanbase. So all we can do is sit and wait for his next masterstroke,,, which I am convinced will create more laughter/sarcasm/disbelief/anger. This is just like GroundHog day,,, how many times are we going to keep going round this chaotic roundabout of a football club??? I really feel for Rohl and the new coaching team,,, whatever are they thinking about this latest episode,,, I hope they stay and see it through but I think it highly unlikely,,, and they haven't been here 3 weeks yet!!!! I have a solution for consideration,,,,,Sell up,,, go back to Thailand and lick your,,, whatever takes your fancy. "Unbelievable Geoff"
  22. 50/50 view on the news over the last 24 hours. 50% positive says Is this REALLY happening at Hillsborough???? Cannot believe who we are bringing in as BACKROOM support!!! What has changed???? no really,,, WHAT has changed??? 50% negative says I'm going to wake up in a minute!!! If it all go's pear shaped,,, AGAIN,,, I will probably call it a day,,,, at 74 years old I just cannot take any more disappointments!!! If DC is REALLY behind all this then I'm IMPRESSED BIG TIME If he isn't behind it then I also see that as a REAL POSITIVE. UTO,,,WAWAW,,,VAVAV
  23. Am very impressed with his first press conference,,, a breath of fresh air,,, and I understood everything he said!!!!. If it comes down to surviving with loan players,,, we have to be in with an above average chance if Leeds, Norwich or Liverpool have anybody surplus to requirements,,, you can guarantee their managers will want to see him succeed. Lets also not forget all the contacts he has in Germany. This could be a masterstroke,,, IF IT WORKS,,, and DC deserves some credit for that,,,, hopefully. My heart says 9,,,, but my head says 6,,,, we need some positive results,,, QUICKLY
  24. A VERY valid point,,,, he's well into his 70's and as you get older your legacy becomes very important,,, if he see's himself as Sheffield's finest manager,, for both sides of the city then that is fine by me. Also have to say I love his Sheffield outlook on life,,,, some may not like it but he's one of us!!!!!! Get him in ASAP
