  1. I’ve just run the formation randomiser and it says we will be playing 3-4-3. BPF Iorfa Dunkley Palmer Hunt Adeniran Bannan Brown Paterson Gregory Berahino I’m assuming Hutchison and Gibson will be unavailable due to injury.
  2. Bit unfair to not give credit to the programmer
  3. It’s going to be great when we cheer an opposition player only to then start booing our own when we aimlessly pass the ball around and concede a soft goal.
  4. He got Plymouth promoted from League 2 in his first season. Consolidated their position in League 1 last season finishing 18th and they are now currently 3rd in the table. Clearly he is making good progress with them and has done so from his first season in charge of them.
  5. If he was a racehorse he would have long since been turned into glue and put into burgers.
  6. They don’t have a lot of depth in their squad and there is a long way to go in the season. I think they’ll struggle no matter what. They have started better than I expected though.
  7. Didn’t they play him on the left of a back three in a cup game?
  8. Thumbs up from me on this one. Great philosophy to use on Football Manager.
  9. He started his career both as a player and manager by coming through Barcelona reserve teams within the Spanish leagues. To him that’s how things work in his elite little bubble. It’s not even the first time he has suggested it either. Found the below article from a couple of years ago. https://www.google.com.au/amp/s/amp.theguardian.com/football/2019/feb/26/pep-guardiola-reserve-teams-championship-spain
  10. Loads of other countries have reserve teams in the league pyramids. The rules are that they can’t get promoted past a certain league.
  11. Agreed, wasn't thinking of it as a permanent solution. I think if we wanted to play two up top I think we'd struggle with two in midfield. To be perfectly honest I like the 4-3-3/4-5-1/4-2-3-1 formation (However people want to list it) and have no desire for us to change from it. We can be flexible with our midfield three, the two wide attackers we can be flexible between out and out wingers or more of an inside forward. Most of all it fits in with the squad we have.
  12. I think we’re much more suited to moving to a 3-5-2 than a 4-4-2 if we wanted to play two strikers. I think we’d struggle for an effective midfield pairing without Luongo being one of them and we definitely can’t be making plans around him. Alternatively we play that 1-3-6 that’s been floating around create all the strike partnerships.
