  1. Friday is a real opportunity to finally get out of the bottom 3. With away games at Middlesbrough and QPR next, then a tough game against Norwich, we really need to be taking 3 points from this one.
  2. Birmingham City look like they're moving and building a new stadium. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/czvz9141wpzo Their American backers have probably realised that the dump that is St.Andrews is not fit for purpose and will hold them back. Tin hat on but I feel we also need to move to a modern stadium for the 21st century. Also somewhere we can develop to give us the commercial opportunities needed these days to progress as a club. This would only happen under a nee owner/owners of course.
  3. I think Bazza will be fit and desperate to play. With his 'come back stronger' statement, sounds like Ian is going to be out for a while.
  4. Bit of a strange one. He played and scored for Watford U21's last week. His contract with them runs until this Summer. Unless they've released him, he can't play for us in an EFL game. If they have, we would need to register him by next Thursday to play this season.
  5. You can see 'Manchester' in the reflection of thw mirror. He lives in Salford, so it's probably his local gym.
  6. Yep and anybody who loses money with BET365 helps pay for Stoke City.
  7. Yes they don't fill the stadium and there is a lot of apathy as they have finished in the bottom half every season since relegation from the PL in 2017/18. But they are looking after the fans that do go. Their adult season tickets average cost is £379. Ours in the last phase on sale averaged £623 which is crazy considering it is likely to be for League One football.
  8. While EMR staff are on strike Friday and not Saturday, there will be an overtime ban all weekend. So services will probably affected on Saturday too.
  9. Looks like that it's in Manchester. I believe he lives in Salford.
  10. They look cool, I might have to get me sen one. Would it go with my M&S blazer. I'd love to know what he keeps in it.
  11. Taking it a bit further, comparing under XM to DR when conceding first. XM W0 D0 L7 F2 A13 DR W1 D1 L12 F5 A36 Strangely we kept the score down under Xisco, going on to concede on average 1.86 goals per game. We've had a few hammerings under Danny and conceded 2.57 goals per game.
  12. It's understandable at home but sometimes away it maybe would be better to keep things tight to start with. I'm not saying go all defensive and play not to lose, but be solid early on, not to open and don't make it easy for the opposites. I think we could have picked up a few more draws instead of defeats.
  13. Obviously whichever team scores first in a game more often than not goes on to win. I thought I'd have a look at how we have done in that regard this season in the league. Scoring first - Won 10 Drawn 1 Lost 3 Conceding first - Won 1 Drawn 1 Lost 19 You can see how vital it is for us to score the first goal. But the stat that really stands out is when it's broken down into Home and Away, and it doesn't really come as a surprise. In away games we have conceded first in 12 matches and lost all 12 of them. Not only once we've conceded away first it's been game over, we've usually gone on to ship loads more goals. In those 12 matches we scored 2 and conceded 32 goals. At home it's not much better when conceding first, W1 D1 L7. So only once have we managed to come back and win a game when conceding first (QPR home), and once we've come back to get a point (Leicester home). On the plus side when scoring first we then go on to win 71% of the time. When we scored first away it's Won 4 Drawn 0 Lost 2. I wonder if this is why DR goes very attacking early in away games. He's realised we have to score the first goal to have any chance. At Home when scoring first - W6 D1 L1
  14. Blackpool fans are impressed with him. Then again a few don't seem to rate Poveda after someone recently suggested bringing him back to Blackpool. https://avftt.co.uk/index.php?threads/poveda-available-on-a-free.51754/
  15. Well all you doomsayers vertainly jinxed him didn't you FFS. Only he couldn't wait to get injured playing for Columbia. According to reports out of Columbia he is out of the national squad for the upcoming friendlies due to a muscle injury. And their coach said it sounded serious. Doesn't look good for the lad and us.
  16. I'll give you odds of a million to one that Wednesday are out of the bottom 3 on Saturday evening.
  17. Seems about right slight odds on to be relegated. Despite our recent form, we're still 2nd from bottom nd 2 points from safety. If as everybody seems to think Blackburn are certs to go down, there's some money to be made on them at 3/1.
  18. Yep it will just show how lacking we are in midfield if we have to put Palmer in there.
  19. It was Danny that said we have 8 cup finals left.
  20. So if we lose against Swansea, does that mean we need to get something from the game at Middlesbrough or doesn't that matter either. Then if we only get one or zero points from those two games, would that make the QPR game must win game. Because 1 or 2 points from 5 games including the 2 just gone will put us in serious trouble, with 5 to play.
  21. Who are the real defeatists. Those who aren't happy at getting dicked 6-0, or those that accept it and say it's fine ?
