  1. Me and the Mrs have the points for most away games and got our Boro tickets - but our son was unable to beat the points cut-off and get one for this game. Would love the chance to surprise him if any spares become available. Thanks.
  2. But 3rd and 4th are still to come to Thrillsborough We are staying up but definitely going to get squeaky. UTO
  3. BB has been playing the last three games knowing that a booking = a ban. He’s managed this very professionally given his propensity to get in referee’s faces for the obligatory soft yellow., It must have been at the front of his mind knowing that a ban during this pre-break period would have seriously affected our chances to win games. Just witness when he went off second half the other night how he is the heartbeat and motivation on the pitch. It’s been very obvious he’s been playing within himself, and now hopefully the shackles are off for Ipswich. ‘Glad it’s all over.’
  4. Believe I saw this at the ABC Angel St in 1978. Burt Reynolds and a flirty kangaroo. The car chases were awesome. Not sure what it has to do with L**ds at home though.
  5. The club widely publicised the contact number for in-match incident reporting (07526 166907) but does that result in a response during the match? There is the operatiosenquiries@swfc.co.uk for reporting incidents afterwards but currently it feels like it’s ‘Everyman for himself’ on a match day. We are top of S1 and there were 2 major incidents which kicked off that were just short of fighting (just!!). Stewards were stood at the front of stand throughout. No slight on them, just the management of them and their role. Whilst feeling safe - I’ve never felt as unsafe at home matches than currently - and last night in particular. Grim times.
  6. I am confident DR will stay next season. It’s become ‘his’ project and he has dropped enough hints he’s willing to see it through. My worry was that his young family are at home in lovely Leipzig, and this could be the biggest lever. But then he said at the presser that one of his sons was in the juniors (U11?) whilst over here. I think it’s about preparing the family for a move over here in the Summer. See how his kids feel. Make friends etc. He said that his son was loving it. Who wouldn’t? Being around S6 knowing your dad’s revered as a rock star. Just need to work on Mrs Röhl to seal the deal.
  7. Seems like Sheffield Hallam has also suffered a knock back this transfer window. What’s the Windy City got that we haven’t? Certainly not wind, if you’ve ever strayed onto the kop!
  8. For a good couple or three years we didn’t look out of place competing with the ‘big’ boys. I loved watching that side. Honest, committed and not lacking in skill. Seeing us win at Anfield, Spurs, Old Trafford etc ranks just as highly as the Big Ron days. Plus without Heysel then Wednesday would have been in Europe earlier than ‘92. Thank you for the wonderful memories Howard.
  9. Larry May was a quality defender and captain for Barnsley. Week in week out he produced solid displays. Was so excited we signed him but unfortunately was dire in the Blue and White. Made me look a right chump bigging him up to fellow supporters. However indifferent May was for us, Fletcher has stolen a career and the comparisons don’t stack up. But Bothroyd ….. don’t get me started.
  10. No, it’s how folks in Hull would ludicrously pronounce Roll - it’s “Rerl” Auf Deutsch. But why let that get in the way of all the pun fun? Just like Börner (Burner)
