  1. Always been interested in Torquay after one of my biggest mistakes, taking my wife to watch Torquay V Chesterfield on our honeymoon. Was never forgiven
  2. Just stick an s on the end of Oh Danny Boy and turn the I and I've into we and weve got a ready made song that lots of people know and would sound fantastic ringing round Hillsborough. Any thoughts on this
  3. Rip, remember Pancho fondly. It was so difficult for defenders to get the ball off him when he was in possession.
  4. R.I.P. Billy one of my earliest favourite players
  5. There ain't no way you're ever gonna win But don't be sad Two out a Three ain't bad
  6. We were 5-3 down on aggregate from the first leg, then 6-3 down as they scored first, pulled it back to 6-6, they scored again before we got 2 more, 5-2 on the night, 8-7 on aggregate. Agree last night was better.
  7. One match I would always put in my list would be the Intercity cup game against Olympique Lyon in 1961. Lost the first leg 4-2 . At home they scored first to put us 2-5 down on aggregate. Score then went 1-1 (3-5) 2-1 (4-5) 3-1 (5-5) 4-1 (6-5) 4-2 ,(6-6) then Johnny Fantham scored in the 85th minute to make it 5-2 on the night and a 7-6 aggregate win
  8. in 66 we played every game away and got to the final, perhaps we could be playing every game at home this time
  9. I'm in my late 70s and even I can manage e-tickets, got one for the Crucible the other week and use them when traveling by train. It's time the club got its act together on this.
  10. I felt that some refs last season were so determined to show that they weren't influenced by the large crowds, that they over compensated and favoured the opposition. Hope that won't be the case this season. But perhaps I'm wearing blue and white specs and they all did a great job.
  11. I hope that the Wimbledon midfielder Hartigan's first name isn't Alf
