  1. Regularly see him on the South Stand concourse and at away games. Spoke to him at Leicester a few weeks ago and he just comes across as a a fan, as a Wednesdayite who suffers and celebrates like the rest of us.
  2. And a Jamaican and a Welshie and a couple of Scots....
  3. Palmer can do a man marking job in midfield, but if you want someone to get on the ball, he ain't your man I'm afraid. Hendrick was very poor when he was on the pitch earlier in the season, but yes he has to be a better option.
  4. I strongly fear that the lack of an incoming Centre midfield player in the window, with 3 leaving will cost us big time in the survival battle. Baz and Vaulks can’t be guaranteed to be available for the full 90 minutes of every remaining game and the one thing above all else you want from your centre mids in this league is the ability to receive the ball in tight spaces. Momo’s feet don’t seem to know what his brain is thinking, so gets caught in possession far too often and there’s a reason why Liam has played 400 plus games and hardly played in midfield …….HE’S NOT A CHUFFIN’ MIDFIELD PLAYER DANNY. A couple of Luongo type midfielders added to this squad and we’d now be looking really decent.
  5. But we've been starting home games recently with 4 at the back?
  6. Completely agree with the balance point and I'm a big fan of Famewo, but Bernard is very comfortable on the left despite being right footed and he's been consistently our best CB this season. Nice problem to have.
  7. Same team v Plymouth, but different formation and no complaints if Bernard is straight back in for either of Icky or Fam. Biggest selection decision on Tuesday night is whether Windass is fit for the bench and therefore in with a chance of a run out. He’s the obvious pick to replace Poveda on Friday if we are going to play the way we have been recently and have a go at Leeds.
  8. Hey Jude still in there though, which is daft. Wednesday fans literally never sing along to it at home games, so it’s just there to help EVERY set of away fans to find their collective voice just before the start of the game.
  9. Although Bernard is right footed, he's the only one of our right footed CB's who is comfortable playing on the left hand side of a two or a three, so Ideally it would be Famewo who replaces him, but he won't be fit in time i suspect, so I'd be surprised if it's not Bambo. I've got no worries about either Bambo, or Dom coming into the side, other than that they will have to play on the left hand side, which will severely our ability to play out from the back on that side.
  10. ….Awaits the complete meltdown on here if we lose at Rotherham.
  11. Was the Beadle injury a brilliant piece of s housery to allow Bambo time to get on after the red card? If it was, it worked and I’m guessing Beadle went down under instruction from Vaulks or Bannan.
  12. Wins for Hull and West Brom would be good. Anything that makes Robins’ and Coventry’s chances of making the play-offs harder is good with me.
