  1. i would certainly keep Bannan on a two year deal with reduced terms, with the intension of using him less as the season progresses/ other players development, cant disguise the fact that when he doesnt play we offer less, Palmer has improved as the season has gone on but shouldnt be anywhere near midfield, and should also be offered a deal (multiple defensive positions being a key factor) i would also keep Big Dom, 1 year deal though along with a two year deal for Bernard but i doubt that would be signed. the remainder can go for me regardless which division we may be in, we need fresher younger players to balance up the likes of an ageing BB, DR likes energy and BB can do that for 60 mins or so. it would be nice to see Ugbo and Pov return but feel weve put them in the shop window for others to benefit from. if we keep DR i can see us bringing in a number of players that we arent familiar with but we have to trust his judgement.
  2. good thing is a lot of the clubs at the bottom play each other too
  3. i love the 70-84 personally but its hard to ignore the current one if we are looking at tradition.
  4. i thought we set off really boldly and it was just a matter of time before they exploited our full backs high line, time and time they were exposed and we didnt really do much about that till it was too late. im not gonna blame Iorfa too much because it was clearly an instruction from the manager, alas DR got it wrong but thats likely to happen on occasions with a young manager learning on the job, not DR bashing more experienced managers than him have got it badly wrong over the years. id give them all low scores this time around including Poveida and Vaulks, just a really bad day at the office from them, i saw a stat at half time where they had won 71% of airiel duels which is shocking considering that they werent the tallest side (moore apart) onwards we go and a little break may have come at the right time for us.
  5. totally agree, accept a leaflet or politely decline.....simple
  6. i think you may have me wrong here im not a DC fanboy by any stretch of the imagination, it wouldnt bother me if he sold up tomorrow, as ive stated before i try to look for balance. DC has done some good things, obviously the screen, new pitch, fan zone bank rolled the club through Covid (all things an owner should do by the way) etc..... but im not deluded enough to think thats enough. if the protests brought about DC putting the club up for sale then bravo, i just dont think its that simple. weve never been a club that has attracted genuine purchasers with the exception of MM and DC, weve had many a charlatan show interest. i love this club but do i think its an attractive proposition..... no i dont. any one coming in for the club would probably be looking at losing money and thats my issue, DC is bankrolling us whether we like it or not. hopefully the protests will get DC to say he will sell, lets say he agrees to sell at a reasonable figure (unlikely i know) of say £10 million, im not convinced there would be any takers at all, DC would still own the ground and he isnt going to offer that in any sale because its in his interests to keep it and unlikely to get anywhere near the valuation he would expect. until someone with a hell of a lot of money comes in we will be in limbo like this......i just think thats where we are at, all us stamping our feet isnt going to make the problems go away even if DC gave the club away. just my opinion.
  7. So being called a bootlicker is endearing is it. listen I’m not arguing with anyone, I see why people protest and are opposed to the current regime….. I get it. i wouldn’t want this to go on indefinitely as it’s destructive, DC operating in his current format will end only one way we all know that. however I feel virtually anyone coming in right now wouldn’t alter the prices substantially nor would turn us into a profitable club, football is an absolutely broken business model and most directors are propping up their clubs. we lose money and will continue to do so which is hardly something which makes someone part with their hard earned cash easily. is Dc a problem……. Yes is Dc leaving the end of the problem…….no football is a poo show and alas the fans suffer IMO
  8. You are right, as I’ve said countless times, fans protesting doesn’t bother me, they have a right to do what they think as do those who choose not to. I’m not in the protest camp but that doesn’t mean I will always feel that way, respect has to go both ways, I’m sick of seeing a lack of respect each way when we are all supposed to be SWFC fans
  9. No I agree, as I’ve said previously we have to respect peoples opinions, only time will tell who is correct. One thing we can do right now is show respect to peoples opinions after all we all want what’s best for SWFC I hope
  10. Comments like this don’t really get the floaters on board you know
  11. Personally I don’t think it helps when pro DC or anti DC supporters slate each other, calling each other out isn’t the way to go, we have to accept people have their own opinions and wether we like it or not that’s reality. i haven’t joined the protest as yet but im not daft enough to believe DC has the answers, but our mantra is WAWAW let’s not forget that
  12. i think sadly the west brom way back in the day was a decent way to evolve the club, they used to get promoted followed by relegation and so on for a number of years and built a pretty solid if not spectacular team but with a good club foundation..... till they sold out and not been great since. thats a realistic ambition id say although not the dreams we all had as youngsters, a number of yo yo seasons would get us back on a decent footing and hopefully allow us to bring the ground and more importantly the training ground up to a decent standard. is it likely, not really unless we have one of those ridiculous seasons where everything just clicks. id like to get to the premiership for the sake of the clubs infrastructure rather than the football, in a nutshell that says everything thats wrong with football today.
  13. this raises its head quite often "the West Ham way" each time they play more expansive football they get relegated and resort to a more pragmatic approach until they get in a healthy position and off it goes again.
