Every day that goes by I lose just a little bit more faith in the club and, in the most general terms, our fans.
We've had, arguably, the worst quarter century of any of the "big clubs". Yet, so many fans are still doing the same old, same old, turn up, buy tickets, and afraid to complain too much in case they rock the boat.
We are way beyond nuance and subtlety. The time for a change is now. Anyone putting money into the club, whether they like it or not, is supporting the current ownership. Anyone saying, "it's tradition", or it's "habit", or it's "part of my social life"; fair enough, but at least admit you are putting that ahead of real change for the club in your list of priorities. You can't buy season tickets, and claim you want change, because if you want change, you'd be doing something about it, and the easiest thing would be to stop spending money on the club.
I stopped spending on the club a while back. I've tried engaging with fan groups. There's just so much apathy everywhere in the fan base. I feel like the heart and soul of the club is dead.
It's like if you are angry with a service you are getting, but you continue to spend money on that service, and you wonder why nothing changes. Where is the motivation for change if the other party keeps getting your money?
