  1. To Me Bailey Cadamarteri looks like a youngster We are finally doing good job with. From U-18 squad to first team it looks like He was handled well, given opportunities He deserved and getting rewarded for doing well. Don't know if He is getting bit of a "special treatment"due to who His father is and due to his younger brother breaking all kind of records at U-14 level and below. If He is, thank God for that as We have history of failing some very talented players. Hope We won't do the same with other talented youngsters at the club with no famous fathers to look after them.
  2. Were supposed to play today at 11:30. No news whatsoever about this game, is it going ahead as played or was it called off and moved to another date?! What a bunch of unprofesional incompetent eejits. God forbiding if anyone interested in youth football planned to watch this and aranged his day around it. Those running OS and in charge of sharing such information should be ashamed of themselves. AGAIN!!!
  3. Was on bench for their first team as well. I guess that He got told how his contract wont get renewed and was alowed to go out on trial and find himself new club. Looks like We have good relations with Watford so perhaps they let Us have a first look at him. Ambition to get into top 2 of our league and not having any decent strikers made him that much more interesting to Us.
  4. Sorry buddy, but neither club could be bothered to post result or God forbid any info about the game. Looking how proudly We posted article about youth Development Week on our Official Site people would think it matters a bit to us. Sadly it doesn't
  5. Sat Mar 23 2024 11:30 XI: Trialist, Rodrigues, Johnson, Hunt, Emery, Weaver, Sopala, Kakay, Shaw, Thornton, Trialist SUBS: Swales, Mbaya, Fernandes, Remy-Dee, Weston. Fingers crossed that U-18's will do better than first team last week. Well traveled trialist brothers in goal and upfront for Us today. Looks like Sopala is very much U-18 player now considering that this must be his 4'th or 5'th start in row. Fernandes who had to play 60 minutes yesterday for U-21's due to Siqueira's injury starts on the bench today. Hunt, Sopala and Thornton must make for shortest CM trio in all U-18 football
  6. Sheffield Wednesday take Watford striker on trial and forward starts in U21s fixture
  7. Center back. Looking at line-up U-21's might be mirroring first team playing 5-2-2-1 formation.
  8. More I watch him, more I'm certain that Diaby's problem is not "rustiness", but extremely poor technical ability. Perhaps He could get away with it in some other role and other position, but not in front of our back line in how We usually set up to play. Shipston is not a late bloomer and even last season at 17 looked ready to be a part of our first team squad. He got loads of quality on the ball, never hides from it and plays with his head up. Unlike Diaby He has all the tools We need in the role, but it is extremely hard to play inexperienced youngster while fighting for our Championship survival and when mistakes can be extremely expensive. Out of Diaby, Palmer and James, Shipston potentially offers the most in that CM role. Than again, his lack of experience could potentially cost Us the most as well.

  10. Historical opportunity to put things right and start healing process?
  11. Really good article and it is nice to see bit of focus on academy and U-21 players for a change. Hope that as part of "Youth Development Week" club will surprise as with live stream of U-21's game vs QPR this Friday.
  12. With everyone fit Vaulks and Bannan are our automatic choice in We are playing with two sitting central midfielders. With Bannan out injured We are in problems, as none of our CM's are good enough to make step up and replace him. Momo Diaby to Me looks worst of our midfielders, His technique is awful and his decision making worst. Palmer is just not suited to play next to Vaulks as We can't do with two deep sitting midfielders with little quality on the ball and creativity. Same goes for James. Shipston is most skillful of the lot and He fits the role best, but his lack of experience is a worry. Didn't do himself much favors with how He reacted after getting dropped from first team squad by Xisco it seems. As things stand Jeff Hendrick emerges as a viable choice all out of sudden ?! Is He ? Midfield was key position to improve on in the Summer. We brought in no one and lost two solid options in Byers and Buckley.
  13. Interesting, I was opinion that He understands far more about what is going on than usual co-commentator. True, He was negative from the start, but everything He said came true. Perhaps not the voice and not what You wanna hear on Your free Saturday, but He knows what He is talking about and sounds hurt by our situation.
  14. Well, Your house is aware of how Moore is doing at Port Vale?!
  15. Rumours say that Röhl put forward list of targets He wanted to sign before transfer deadline and We signed no one from Röhl's list. Wont claim that rumour is true, though.
  16. Every club is as good as its owner is capable and our would have starved to death if He wasn't funded by His family.
  17. Considering how He wasn't able to se ure funds for us to sign better... He party did.
  18. Disgusting performance. Our players look like they haven't slept for a week and are sleepwalking through the game.
