  1. I thought it was fairly clear. Many of those clubs had a more desperate need to improve/move than we have, and many have had to go through extremely dire situations since making those improvements/moves. Some have been lucky and also had success, but most haven’t. And I make it 13 clubs out of your 23 that have had more than a single season in the prem, but maybe I’ve miscounted. My point about Millwall was that it shouldn’t be in your list because their stadium move was before we last improved Hillsborough, and you seemed quite clear that it was a list of improvements since we last made any.
  2. The majority of those clubs HAVE played in the Premier League for more than a year. They’re not all great examples though, are they? Since making improvements, County and Chesterfield have lost their league status, Leicester and Wigan have gone into admin, and Rushden & Diamonds have closed and their stadium has been demolished. And Millwall’s rebuild was prior to our last improvements anyway. Much as we need improvements, it’s not as pressing a need as it was for some of those clubs. Some were on the verge of having their grounds condemned, and others outgrew their existing homes. Shabby as Hillsborough is, it’s not about to be closed down and we rarely sell out even with reduced capacity.
  3. Valid question. The bird in the photo is a species of eagle owl - most likely a Pharaoh Eagle Owl, but I can't say with 100% certainty from that photo - but in nature it's usually the final part of the name that's the signifier of what kind of animal it is, so in this case it's 100% an owl (with some eagle-like characteristics). Eagle owls are often used in falconry events, so that would answer your second question in that they could - at least in theory - be able to compete against eagles. It wouldn't be a fair discipline though, as their hunting strategies are naturally quite different with eagles generally opting for speed and owls relying on stealth. I would need to immerse myself in greater study in order to answer the final question. By the way, I do actually have a publish-on-demand book about owls available, in case you want to learn more...
  4. "Eric, I just heard their striker call you a cheese-eating surrender-monkey"
  5. It's an owl. Crystal Palace are the Eagles. Sheffield Wednesday are the Owls.
  6. I would've hoped we'd have got a result against them, seeing as they're in National League North...
  7. What's that photo got to do with Crystal Palace?
  8. Ah, but likenesses of his mother are often named 'Madonna', and we all know that she's a material girl.
  9. I get the feeling that ol' S36 forgot to crop the bit at the bottom out.
  10. My company has designed sportswear and footwear in collaboration with Adidas, Nike, New Balance and Puma, amongst others. 12-18 months for the design process is absolutely normal, and nothing to do with consultancy fees.
  11. You're right. If there's one thing we desperately need at Hillsborough, it's a cricket pavilion.
  12. Interesting choice for the Dalian Atkinson bench: https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/c1649x0642jo
  13. I hate to have to tell you this...but one of the badges you've circled isn't blue...
