oh_weds_we_love_you Posted November 17 Posted November 17 All extra bodies welcomed, though match fitness-wise the lad is going to be as fit as me! Hope we can get him up to speed quickly, without injury, and he'll be a massive help at the back.
S72 Owl Posted November 17 Posted November 17 Good signing that gives us options in a few positions now. Been able to push Palmer to wing back or Palmer/Fusire into midfield etc.
Ballmeist Posted November 17 Posted November 17 I'm happy with that. You'd imagine he will be an upgrade on our currently CB's. Hopefully he settles in and stakes a claim to stay on next season and get us back out of League One! 1 1
owlerton Posted November 17 Posted November 17 Already excited for his first interview where he describes us as a MAAAASSSSSIVVVEEE club... It's been a while.

S63 Owl Posted November 17 Posted November 17 Anyone know if he’s been training with the squad to stay fit? 1

Apparently not, just keeping fit on his own. https://www.nytimes.com/athletic/6807377/2025/11/17/liam-cooper-interview-ex-leeds-captain-on-life-as-an-unemployed-player/ 1
cowl Posted November 17 Posted November 17 Solid signing, and desperately needed too. I just hope he's not so far off match fitness.

Aye, it's often the case that those out of contract are apparently said to be keeping themselves fit, but then it still transpires that they'll need a month to get up to speed. Still, you really would like to think that part of the rationale behind choosing Cooper is that his current state is considered to be close enough to fitness to make it worthwhile.
