Rogers Posted November 16 Posted November 16 Oasis have been making a pretty good noise in stadiums around the world. And those there have been singing along it’s down to those attending, not the stadium 2 6
the_forgotten_city Posted November 16 Posted November 16 Jeeze how bad is it at the Emirates if that gets a wow. That was just lots of enthusiastic cheering 2
Popular Post TheGaffer Posted November 16 Popular Post Posted November 16 (edited) The soulless bowl argument is not about atmosphere from myself. It's more about identity. As a kid you could watch 10 seconds of a clip and know which ground it was. Highbury, Villa Park, Old Trafford, A field, Baseball Ground, Salter gate. Soulless bowls can't be. They can still generate an atmosphere obviously but st marys, pride park, Middlesbrough. Fill it with different colour seats / sets of fans. No idea where I am. No character or soul Edited November 16 by TheGaffer 6 1 2 23

Geörge Whitebread Posted November 16 Posted November 16 I said in another thread that I hope the North and West stands are replaced "together as one". We could have a hybrid stadium. Half traditional, half modern bowl. 1 1 1

Popular Post Barneycat Posted November 16 Popular Post Posted November 16 I always liked the MK Dons stadium, good site lines, can see the pitch from the concourse and it has comfy seats. Can be expanded to 45,000. 13
Drewswfc Posted November 16 Posted November 16 The gripe I've got with almost all of the new stadiums is there locations. Most are on the outskirts with nowt round them 3

Not difficult because they were most unexciteable fans I’ve ever come across. They politely clapped their goal. Not sure if they even bothered to stand up. Was even during their invincibles period! 1

Yeah they were shocking in the 90s too. Couldn’t believe how quiet and devoid of passion they were during the Wembley games. However, must say they were amazing in that league cup game in 2016 or whatever it was when we beat them 3-0. Sang non-stop in the second half despite being tonked.
westy365owl Posted November 16 Posted November 16 It doesn't have to be a simple bowl I dont get why people instantly think this Id love for Wednesday to move to a new stadium with proper facilities and the ability to to something like Madrid do with pitch so that outside of the 30ish games each season the stadium can be utilised for events there is a gap in market in this area(Yorkshire) for a big arena for boxing and gigs 6
