Wednesday fans: fair enough, mate. Crack on... 1
torryowl Posted May 16 Posted May 16 If your spouse/partner told you she was leaving coz you cant give her the finances she wants would you have her back if you suddenly won the lottery .....its a no from me if this deal is genuine. 1 6 1

But it seems to me that he wants out of working with Chansiri rather than Sheffield Wednesday. And every fan who supports the protests can surely empathise with that.
swfcnathan Posted May 16 Posted May 16 I think the issue about Röhl leaving is that some fans cant seem to get their head around the idea that a german manager doesnt have the same deep rooted love for the club as them. Where even if the owner is inept, the toilets are leaking, the training ground is a shambles and the best transfers we can do are plymouth reserves, then the manager should stick through thick and thin because ya know loyalty. The manager is well within his rights to say "you havent stuck to what we agreed so now I want out". Wages paid late multiple times, transfer dealings not initiated because the owners in thailand sulking, training facilities abysmal and no sign of any improvement coming. Röhl is the best asset this club has and chansiri is the worst. We'd probably do well to remember that. 5

Yes, lots of mitigating circumstances, but it would raise questions in my head about whether this is the guy for the long-term or not.

In a close-season of awful analogies, that's a front-runner. I might as well try to counter it with one of my own: If a great employee wanted out because the leadership team were incompetent buffoons who made their working life intolerable, would a new leadership team kick them out for having an issue with the previous lot? And around we go on strained analogy roulette... 2
Fablon Dunlop Posted May 16 Posted May 16 Yep. We tie him down to a further deal and invest in his vision for what the squad should look like. We finished 12th with an average squad. Proof is in the pudding. 2 2

I just can't take issue with him wanting away from Chansiri when we all know what he's like. He almost made Darren Moore, 'the nicest man in football', crack!
oneeyedmilkman Posted May 16 Posted May 16 I would love to be wrong, but I'm sure he's already gone and we're just waiting for the announcement really. 4
