  1. For every average/poor loanee (Brad Jones, Horvath), we seem to have manged several really good ones. Our track record for loanee keepers has to be right up there... Maybe it's one of the easier positions to bring in a reasonably good loanee for?
  2. Chansiri Uncharacteristically Nixes Takeover Again...
  3. Tsk tsk...
  4. Looking at that picture, the lad's got two broken fingers already...
  5. Or as Wednesday's OG Scottish Casanova, Alan Irvine, was repeatedly quoted as saying, "No bädge [s], no väg [es]
  6. I imagine that Dej has tied SWFC into a very, very, very long contract to rent the ground and, regardless, the club won't be sold without the stadium...
  7. May the Lego bricks rise up to meet the most sensitive part of his foot every time he steps out of bed in the morning ❤︎
  8. I'll admit, that was the same for me (and, living overseas now, with no plans to return, I didn't feel that it was a decision I had any right to be involved in either). It seemed that an unfathomably complex scenario, with enormous implications was, by proponents on both sides, being reduced to stupidly simplistic 'arguments', and unhelpful caricatures/demonisation of the "other side", with no sensible presentation of the outcomes we were really choosing between. In fact, one might argue that the idea parajack put forward in their post, that there was 'no middle ground', was the lie that both sides were utterly united in their efforts to sell and, on the whole, extremely successful in doing so. So much so that it finds itself as a "go to" example to illustrate the ultimate binary choice. The supreme "with us or against us" scenario... Even if the outcomes of the two options had been both predictable and accurately predicted by the people with an interest in 'selling' them, many such scenarios still have enough pros and cons on either side to make an ultimate decision far from a straightforward choice.
  9. Most of the arguments presented for and against Brexit were pitifully under-informed, bereft of any long term planning, and simply appealing to people on an emotional level. Politicians on both sides of the argument seemed more interested in rabble rousing and fearmongering rather than trying to make a reasoned assessment of what both scenarios might look like once the voting was done, and the back-slapping and champagne quaffing was over. If the 'experts' whose job it was to make decisions on these things, and present them to the public in an understandable but comprehensive format, were unable to formulate a clear picture of what the choices entailed, then you can forgive your average person on the street for feeling they don't have sufficient tools to make an informed choice. "You want to vote for the Heliotrope party or the Mauve party?" "What are their policies, and what will the country look like under them?" "Don't get bogged down in the details. Just listen to your heart. Mauve is an awesome colour, and anyway - look at those stupid Heliotrope voters. Only an idiot would vote for the Heliotrope party. Just look at them" "Alright. I'll vote Mauve." Besides, even a tossed coin might land on its edge every once in a million throws (most likely less than that, according to my Google research). Sometimes it's valid not to pick a side and, glib coin throwing references aside, all of our circumstances are different, as the OP eloquently describes. I think that, at this stage, the overwhelming majority of the fanbase wants the same thing. Chansiri gone. Just as in the case of historic revolutions, we'll never see every single person with a shared goal agreeing on the correct method to accomplish it, but usually if enough people want the thing, and are prepared to take action to achieve the thing, they stand a very good chance of making the thing happen. Getting distracted by falling out with fellow fans who want the same thing, but aren't prepared to take the same actions as we are isn't going to get rid of Chansiri any sooner. Increase the peace...
  10. You'll never eat Des Walker! Uh, wait....
