  1. They looked impressive until we got a side view and realised all the water was being sucked up at the front .....and pumped out of the back
  2. I suppose that's a fairway of dealing with such an outburst.
  3. Kris Wigfield said this is what they will do at the last trust meeting.
  4. Last time I heard about him he was working in a biscuit factory in a Scotland! My late dad had a theory: You could gather all the money in the world and share it equally amongst the worlds population and 12 months later it would be back to where it came from.
  5. I know I know. It's very probably rounduns but Tepper? Yes please.
  6. His win record there so far is not hugely better than it was here. Which is surprising but I suspect Rangers' Achilles heel is European games.
  7. Aren't Sky Sports always a week behind most others with the news? So there were 5 bidders last week, wonder if any more have bid since?
  8. Every time I read about Cantona and Leeds I can't help but remember that interview on Look Leeds after they'd won the title. It was Eric, Batty and Chapman on the sofa and they let Chapman ask him a question because he supposedly talked French and Chapman just asked him a question in English but with a French accent
  9. Agreed. Kris Wigfield's post should have signalled the end of this thread. Can't get my head around why it's turning into a mega thread!
  10. I'm almost 70 and I'm thinking of taking mine. I cant be worse than Ugbo!
  11. They would have to be next Xmas stockings given it's on sale now but it's expected to be out at the end of May '26! Think I'll keep my £16.99 plus p&p in my savings account earning interest and decide whether to buy or not when it is released /Scrooge/
  12. I accept he's not a long term option but ido think he's the leader we need in that defence at the moment. Plus he doesn't seem to have got any excess body weight on him so looks like he's kept himself in good shape during his absence from the game so hopefully won't take long to get up to speed fitness wise.
  13. Only problem is I don't think we should start on -15 points in L1 and the only way to avoid that is sadly to pay the cretin.
  14. My suspicion is this is Povlsen.
  15. And please let's not go for players looking at their last payday!
  16. They didn't really spend a huge amount of money either in net terms to get out of the Championship iirc.
  17. TBF it was always his younger brother who was going to be the star hence why he is no longer with us.
  18. Appalling to read. There really should be a way of stopping this sort of happening especially when kids witness it. Maybe I've dreamt this but aren't there 'special' stewards who are there specifically for stepping in when something like this happens?
  19. It's a weird one. One of my favourite films and I still say they will come even though it's wrong. It's all about Shoeless Joe Jackson getting his chance isn't it? Apologies all round. Btw, I'm not the only who gets it wrong I remember reading a review of the film when it was first released and it's stuck with me all these years. 'people talk about the wonder of cinema but Field of Dreams is the cinema of wonder' Love it.
  20. Or Brianstorm of course https://youtu.be/30w8DyEJ__0?si=atdyW4xbVSObq57y
  21. Richard Hawley - 'Tonight The Streets Are Ours' would be my choice. https://youtu.be/SCsKRbChILA?si=84T2loDFNdZSxvlQ
  22. I'm not sure any of our current strikers (with the exception of Brown because I think he's got potential and Ugbo because who would be daft enough to come in for him??) will still be here when we are in L1. That of course depends how committed/monied our new owner is. I think we need better, even in L1. It's not like Cadz whipped up a storm when on loan at Lincoln, is it?
  23. Is it? Maybe that was Musk's tribute to Kim Jong Un You got any idea how many he's taken and scored for us?
  24. Full Grok quote Barry Bannan's Penalty Record for Sheffield Wednesday Barry Bannan, the long-serving captain and midfielder for Sheffield Wednesday since joining in August 2015, has occasionally stepped up to take penalties for the club. Based on comprehensive match data from sources like FBref and historical reports, his record stands at 3 penalties scored out of 4 taken across all competitions (primarily EFL Championship, with one in EFL Cup). This gives him a conversion rate of 75% for the Owls. No penalties have been recorded in the current 2025-26 season as of November 29, 2025. For context, his overall career penalty record (including stints at Aston Villa, Crystal Palace, and loans) is 5 scored out of 8 taken (62.5%), with the additional 1 scored and 3 missed occurring earlier in his career before joining Wednesday.
