  1. Bottom line We are joint 13th in England on the table of major Domestic and European Trophies won We are joint 13th in England on the table of all time average attendances For 26 years we have been miles off that and look how our support has held up. I'm sure any potential investors will, or at least should, be aware of this. If the new owners can guide us back to our natural punching weight or close they'll will have done an amazing job albeit one that together is not unrealistic.
  2. Top drawer that. Minor criticism. I’d like there to be more distance between the egg and beans. I might want to mix them but I want that to be my decision. Use a sausage as a break water. Aka there’s nothing about the away end. Other than that 10 on 10!
  3. 25,680 Pigs at Sty today. Not comparing but be nice if we had more of our owns fans at Hillsborough on Wednesday night. Small wins. I am comparing! UTO FTP
  4. Unique moment in our history while admin here so has to be done for me if possible of course. Done. Reckon we’ll hit target.
  5. I hope as many fans go to this and it’s a sell out. We need to be behind the club more than ever especially as the admin team seem spot on. Those that can’t make it. No problem. After the last ten years we can’t afford division and we need to be as one which so far is definitely the case. WAWAW
  6. Based on what? He hasn’t even started his coaching badges as I understand.
  7. Widely regarded/believed to be £20/25k a week. Based on last 4 seasons output I find that absolutely mind blowing. A plethora of reasons we are in a mess and this is no way near the worst of them but goes against what most successful models we should look at do.
  8. Of course he is. No other club in the country would pay him what we do.
  9. Good point re Bannan. Whilst we can all see his obvious qualities when was the last time he did anything "of note" in a genuinely big game and/or against top end or above Championship opposition? Windass genuine big game player. POF, Blackburn away, Newcastle in cup to name a few.
  10. What alan said. I remember two rips to Reading and Cardiff 2005/2006 and the drive was slower than an asthmatic ant with some heavy shopping! Nev was a genuine, likeable bloke with a huge passion for Wednesday I felt matched my own. I enjoyed his company and he'll be sadly missed RIP Nev
  11. Lowe and Valery for that matter are third centre halfs in a three alongside two natural centre halfs. Either as a two and as we saw yesterday and we have a problem. Incredibly I know some fans who claim we won’t miss Bernard! Evidently we did yesterday not least for their 1st goal the OP rightly pointed out.
  12. Futile comparing eras. All you can do is look at what each player achieved in their time. I must admit I do shake my head when I hear Bannan compared to Sheridan. I mean, really?
  13. Funny how life without Bannan was more than fine when we beat Prem sides Brighton away, Newcastle, drew away at Brentford albeit lost on pens and when we scored arguably our most important goal in over a decade at Wembley. Today was down to a very rare case of Danny getting it wrong particularly Palmer as replacement not to mention Windass missing from 12 yards.
  14. Danny just been asked same for Sky Sports Germany and replied as follows. Ich hasse es verdammt noch mal, dass Wildhog am Mittwoch die fette, klassenlose Schweinchenfotze verzehrt hat Allegedly
  15. Danny was class as per and his response was text book. Shows the difference between him and a Wednesday haunted, classless c""t like Wildhog.
  16. To all those who had Windass AND Smith in starting 11 tonight
  17. Bottom of league that haven't won at home yet. Tight ground, hostile atmosphere. We need type of players to stand up and give them no encouragement and be prepared to go a bit longer. Hopefully then quality can shine through later. I also think a certain 34 year old central midfielder who has played more minutes than any outfield player so far this season needs a rest. Beadle Palmer Bernard Famewo Valery Charles Ingelsson Johnson Windass Musaba Smith
  18. I see quite a few dropping Windass. Agreed. Great big game player and generally like him a lot but clearly gets above his station at times as seen at Sunderland with chronic lack of care, concentration and discipline that costs us at least two goals. A fired up angry Windass off the bench v Leeds could be an asset however.
  19. That’s correct. I played with Sean for Sheffield and Yorkshire boys. He signed Man United….I signed for another United! Runs for cover! Good lad Sean and very focused even at quite a young age.
  20. Be careful. Don’t question the sheep in the cult of Baaaaahnan. Last 3 home games: With Bannan 154 minutes 0-3 Without Bannan 116 minutes 2-0 We miss him apparently
  21. I'm glad this has been mentioned on here. I was there last night and you could just feel the love in the room within our beloved football club. Danny is absolutely top drawer and the fact after just 5 months he is spoken of in the same breath of Big Jack, Wilko and Big Ron tells you everything. I was lucky enough to meet him last night and they guy just gets it. Superb from our captain too and the charity work. It's obvious from the other players there that the team spirit is bang on too. Wonderful night for our wonderful football club.
  22. Of course yeah. Many factors at play. Bannans work rate, attitude and as a captain more so off the pitch are top class, no doubt.
  23. No criticism of Bannan whose attitude is first class and clearly has quality. I get the longevity side and it’s difficult comparing different eras and positions. However, for a a player who’s never played in the top flight for us to put in front of the likes of Sterland, Nilsson, Worthington, Lyons, Shelton, Palmer, Walker, Sheridan, Waddle, Hirst, Di Canio, Carbone, Marwood etc to name a few I find astounding. Each to their own I guess. WAWAW
  24. You said it for me. Kudos to Xisco as he appears to have recognised this already.
  25. And yet you’ve gone back 11 years to try and enhance yours. Well done you. Over 26,000 have been sold already with a week to go to Southampton game. Already more than the game you point out. Just for your benefit my point was that we may well have sold out if tickets were a reasonable £25/£30 and not the ludicrous £40 plus. Instead we will probably fall about 5k short of that now. Hope that helps.
