  1. As I understood the situation as laid out by Kris Wigfield last Friday in an interview with Rob Staton, and reiterated by a caller to Football Heaven last night, that the 15 point deduction (if the 25% payment to the creditors wasn’t met) was very much dependent on when the deal was concluded. I believe that he stated that if it was completed before March then the points deduction would happen this season, and after that date the deduction would be applied next season. Also he did stipulate that the value of the bids would more than likely meet the creditors 25% required settlement. He also mentioned in one of his interviews that the 25% is a EFL requirement and not a legal requirement as some people seem to think to the contrary. One other thing to mention is that in an earlier interview (not sure if it was Kris or one of the financial experts in an interview on TalkSport) it was stated that once the deal to buy the club is finalised, as far as the creditors payout is concerned, the new owners has the opportunity to to argue the case of the merits of paying Ch*****I the full amount he he is owed due to the miss management of the club.
  2. One of the best signings we ever made was an aging Mick Lyons from Everton. I remember thinking at the time why the hell are we signing a has been like him. Boy how wrong was I, he turned out to be one of the best centre backs I’ve ever seen at Hillsborough. He was a warrior he would stick head anywhere and he never bottled a challenge. I personally feel that Cooper will bring some of those qualities to us.
  3. As stipulated previously, even if we were to be hit with a 15 point deduction if the process is completed early enough the deduction will be applied this season and not next season, which on essence would have little or no effect moving forward.
  4. The administrator said yesterday that it was too late to do anything with the prices at the moment, but plans are already in play to bring the prices down after the pigs game, also that they were looking at the possibility of introducing some packages going forward.
  5. I think a simple announcement Congratulations to all who attended the Grimsby game last night. Between you all last night you managed to give Chansiri XXX amount of £s (whatever the figure is). Well done hope you’re proud of yourselves, give yourself a clap
  6. I didn’t celebrate the win last night as I felt it was the wrong thing to do knowing that we were through to the next round and that in turn would’ve lead to additional income for Chansiri going forward. I’ve been going to Hillsborough since the 1970/71 season, my dad who was a blade took both me and my brother to both Hillsborough and Bramall lane. He allowed us to choose where we enjoyed it the most. Invariably despite it being arduous times at Hillsborough we loved it there and 2+1 fans were created as my dad became a Wednesday fan along with us. Up until the Covid season I had only missed 5 games at Hillsborough and that was mainly down to following my Son abroad to watch him play for the Young Owls in end of season competitions. Over the years I like many fans stopped going to matches with my dad and instead started going to the games with my school mates. Some of those friends I still go to matches with today. So it was with great sadness that I along with my friends felt we couldn’t attend yesterday. I am a season ticket holder so will attend the home games for the rest of the season but will continue to boycott the cup games until Chansiri has gone. Hopefully this nightmare will end soon and we can all get back to following the team we love week in and week out and hopefully drag back in many if not all of the fans that have stopped attending during Chansiri’s rein.
  7. I did say in the post support shown to us by the home support.
  8. Once again for the second away game on the spin, a massive thank you for the support showed to our team/fans in our fight to help rid us of our nightmare of a chairman Chansiri showed by the home supporters. I do hope we show our appreciation when both sets of fans visit Hillsborough later in the season.
  9. Saw a guy doing deliveries in Garforth area of Leeds a few weeks ago. Gave him the WAWAW, chatted with him for a few minutes, he had a distinctive West Yorkshire accent, apparently he had lived there since about the age of five but was born just around the corner from Wednesdays ground.
  10. Genuinely Intrigued, will the majority of the no’s be attending games again as soon as Chansiri has gone? Not at all judging anyone as like most Wednesday fans I am disgusted and upset with the predicament this famous club currently finds itself in. I always wonder what our crowds would be like currently if we were a trouble free Premier League team. I think that we really did miss the boom time in the increased attendances nationwide. Considering the ups and downs of the last quarter of a century the support of the Wednesday fans has been magnificent.
  11. I don’t know if it would be a safety issue, but what if on mass fans vacated their seats say on 20 mins for example and occupied the concourses up to and possibly including halftime. Then make plenty of Chansiri out noises for that period of time, at the very least I’m sure that it would cause the stewards a massive headache and that in turn would probably be something the club would have to look at very seriously hence attracting plenty of media attention . Maybe it’s not feasible but I just wondered what people’s thoughts were to this suggestion or to something similar.
  12. Never in a million years is this going to happen. It’s a very naive way of thinking to think this even a possibility. At no club in the country would there be sufficient no’s for this to happen. Just look at what’s happening at Man U with all of the trials and tribulations that they’ve had over the years with the glaziers, their fans threatened the same and even set up a new club , they still sold out every week.
  13. Is it not possible if not using the digital code yourself to screenshot shot the code/qr code and forward on as an image?
  14. Andy Mculloch, a Jack Charlton signing from Brentford. At that time he was the best header of a ball that I had seen at Hillsborough but as I recall he had zero pace.
  15. So in essence you wanted the pigs to win then? I can honestly say that is something I have ever wished for.
  16. Not since Rob Jones and Miguel Liera have we had the type of ball winning centre half that has been effective in both boxes. It’s a big plus if you have a central defender that mops up 70/80% of aerial balls that are played into your box and throughout the season mucks in with 5 or 6 goals at the other end. The nearest to that type of player in recent years has been the loan signing of Aden Flint. I feel that a commanding centre half of that kind of ilk is a massive plus for most Championship sides and below. Me personally I’d be more than happy to give Cooper a try.
  17. Nobody is asking for forgiveness, but some people may believe in giving credit when it’s actually due, me included.
  18. Sometimes you just don’t know how much you miss someone until they’ve gone. For me personally I’m sure that will be the case when Bannan finally leaves us.
  19. At this level of football I definitely feel a need for a commanding, ball winning centre half in the mould of an Aden Flint, Miguel Liera, or Rob Jones type of player. I think that’s what we have been sadly lacking this season. I also think that it can make a big difference if you have your centre half’s chipping in with a few goals throughout the season.
  20. I think that there will be a marked improvement in the condition of the pitch compared to the last time we saw it.
  21. I’m afraid to say but for some on here it does.
  22. Whenever this fixture comes around I can’t help but feel so sorry for the two young Wednesday fans who died in a car accident on their way back home from Coventry for a midweek fixture back in 2010. It goes without saying that the sorrow also extends to their relatives and friends that they left behind. for quite a few years afterwards there were some Coventry fans who posted their condolences around the time of the anniversaries. let’s just hope that whatever the result is today that everyone arrives back home safely.
  23. A draw would still be a big positive.
  24. I despaired with 20 minutes to go when both Bakinson and Palmer came on to help rescue us.
