A few teams have managed back to back, Ipswich being the last. I think given the scale of the rebuild, the genuine target will be 3/4 years for the prem. However, as you say, patience is not the virtue of a billionaire, so maybe we could see spendaggedon on another scale!

The bonus for us is the length of time and hopefully deep pockets we will have to recruit. My expectation is a head of recruitment will be one of the first signings and will spend January and the second half of the season identifying our targets, talking to their agents and lining them up one by one. I would expect 10+ to sign on day one of the transfer window, along with the 4 or 5 who stay. We will undoubtedly pick up some real quality prem loans, again 3 or 4, thus leaving the summer to pick up the 2 or 3 marquee signings looking for a big payday. I expect Pederson to be the manager and to build a team in our current shape and playing style. League 1 is also going to be good for Cadz, Charles, Weaver and Brown, who have not looked out of place in the Championship. Hard running will be our super power, with a blend of youth and experience. Bannan will undoubtedly be our lynchpin and skipper.

Potentially a new stadium,i really hope not

New stadium please. -
Ok… Lets call it an entertainment, retail and sports quarter. Somewhere the whole family goes to for the day, not just the dad and lad, for a pie and pint…
-
This is exactly what the new potential owners of SWFC will be looking at. A sports quarter for South Yorkshire. We might not have the population of the West Midlands or Gtr Manchester, but the conurbation is big enough to bring in the money, with the right investment. Americans think much bigger and longer term than British investors. I think we are going to be very excited at the future for the club and city.

LIam Cooper is on his way to SWFC

Looks slim, which I can’t say about every signing we have made in the past. It’s a start -
Some of these Albanian midfielders are worth a punt.
-
We will not stay up. It’s about helping the current players survive and building for next year. Alongside amass, if we get 2 more MU players and they do as well as Amass, guess what, they will loan us 2/3 more next year. Get Cooper in and fit, he can anchor our defence next year. We are protecting and building for the fight back.
-
Mainly to avoid injuries to the current players for me.
-
A new stadium. Just not enough room at S6.
-
I also think he has looked good, him and Amass are solid performers at the minute. Both need a run and get fully up to speed with man’s football, at this level. Very promising however.

Norwich City match could have MONUMENTAL consequences

I’m at an event in London, would have been there like a shot. -
He did put a shift in yesterday, he has definitely upped his running of late. But when you are alongside Baz and Svante, he inevitably looks inadequate, as he cannot match their running. I agree with @SiJ, he doesn’t offer anything to the team. He can’t hold it up, he doesn’t run the channels and stretch the defence, he doesn’t hog the six yard box, poking them in. He has no strengths. I agree Cadz needs to start, with Ugbo playing the last 10 til we can get better.

Well played boys. Thought both full backs were ace today.

Just made a donation. Thanks so much to the trust. -
A better one would be to follow the come back! From League one to the champions league, the Wednesday Way!

No wonder they aren’t getting paid, don’t deserve it

Perimeter Chumpsiri adverts being painted over
Pieman replied to onslow's topic in Sheffield Wednesday Matchday
I heard they were going to paint it all, but the stand started creaking while they were up there, so they did a quick bodge job and legged it -
How much branding / high prices would you accept?
Pieman replied to WimJunk's topic in Sheffield Wednesday Matchday
I can accept high prices if it comes with a plan that we are all bought into. Football clubs need investment from every angle, including supporters. Build a 5 year plan, covering a new ground or seriously upgraded Hillsboro, a new training facility, a higher grade academy, a transfer strategy, a team and team building strategy, the fan experience, proper club merchandise, investment and outreach in the community, working committees with fan groups, annnddddd I think we are all in. Sheffield Wednesday is not a quick fix. Get it right and we are a Villa, or an Everton e.g. Premier League fixtures. Develop players like Hirsty, Lyon’s, Palmer, or Waddle and we can be regulars in Europe. -
Brilliant work Lee. I disagree on the chosen ‘club emblem’. In the Liverpool example, the bird is the same between the two. I believe the owl should be the same between the two and the basis for the club emblem should be the design on slide 8, on the bottom right hands side. It should be improved to include some of the detail from the proposed emblem, but include the owl as per your design. Come on you owls!

Semedo and Nuhiu. Some of the recent lads might not have had the skill, but sweat blood and tears for us. Get a full precession at EVERY game!

Crikey, that has the potential to be another Presto. Need to mix the old and new blue seats up a bit.
